COVID-19 Library Services: For Faculty

A guide to library services and academic support center services moving forward Spring 2020

ICC Library Services For Faculty

The ICC Library strives to support your online teaching needs and promotes student learning through robust digital collections, online instruction support, chat reference services and research assistance.

Course Research Guides

Contact a librarian to create a customized library research/assignment guide for your course , including a unique link to embed in Blackboard for easy access to the guide. Browse ICC Library Research Guides

Course guides collect all library resources relevant to the assignment in one place so that students don't have to navigate the library's webpages.  For more information, watch the quick video tutorial below.

Online Library Instruction

If library instruction sessions are needed, fill out the instruction request form to request live assistance to your course through Zoom. Librarians will do their best to accommodate these requests.  A quick video tutorial of this service can be found below.

Academic Support Center

Tutoring appointments scheduled for in-person services will be honored online through WCOnline based on the availability of the tutor. Check the schedule for more information. Embed the schedule link within Blackboard for easy access.

New and existing online tutoring sessions booked through Smarthinking are also available. Support materials for accessing and embedding the link within Blackboard courses can be found on the ASC website. The link to access Smarthinking is also available on the Blackboard main page.

Connect with ICC Librarians in Blackboard

The "Ask a Librarian" link is always available on the ICC Library homepage, but might also be embedded in your Blackboard course: https://icc.edu/library/

The ICC Library provides research assistance through chat.
