One Book, One College Panel Discussion

This panel discussion will introduce the “One Book, One College” book for 2019-20, How We Got to Now by Steven Johnson.  Our panelists will deliberate on how cold, light, glass, cleanliness, time and sound became accepted as part of a modern way of life.  This session will also highlight events for the coming year. Featured Panelists: Jennifer Costa (Professor of Art) Aaron James (Professor of Philosophy) Susan Sanders (Professor and Coordinator of the Interpreter Preparation Program)

One Book, One College invites you to attend a chapter discussion on Sound from this year’s selection How We Got To Now by Stephen Johnson. This discussion will feature topics such as the Frenchman who invented the phonograph; Alexander Graham Bell and his relationship to the deaf community, and much more. The discussion will be led by Sue Sanders, Coordinator of the Interpreter Preparation Program.
